Welcome: A Guide into the Life of the KY traveler

Welcome to my page! I have been trying for awhile to think of a good name for this page. I wanted to share my adventures as well as trip advise.

A little bit about myself, I am 25 years old, and I’m currently working in France for the next several months. I have visited France before which has help tremendously more than I could even imagine. Last time I was in the Northwest part of France called Caen. Let me just say it was cold and raining the entire time I was there. Everyone I have told so far has agreed and said that Caen is known for that kind of weather.  I am currently living abroad in Privas, France. It’s a small city with about 5,000 residents. It is surrounded by the mountains which feels like home.

I arrived on October 3rd after a strenuous trip. To sum it up I took 3 flights, 3 train trips, and 1 bus ride to finally arrive in Privas. The travel took the longest but I wasn’t nearly as stressed as I was before. You just have to act like you know what you are doing as well as make sure if you are lost to please ask for help. That was the biggest advantage I had this time. I mean I had experience but this time I was relying on myself. I think it also made me very aware of my surroundings that I didn’t break down when I thought I was lost.

One of the main things I would strongly suggest when traveling abroad is plan plan plan. I can’t emphasize enough on how much it helped me. I would definitely not plan on going anywhere on the spur of the moment and definitely seek out your plans.

Well I am about to go into town. If you have any questions just ask! I’ll be posting about my first days in France soon!
